Women's Tennis defeats Gulf South rival West Georgia, 7-2

Carrollton, Ga.—Women's Tennis defeated West Georgia, 7-2, Monday afternoon in Carrollton.

The win improves the Lady Hawks to 13-6 on the season, and 6-2 in the GSC. The Lady Wolves fall to 5-14 overall, and 1-7 in conference play.

Shorter led 2-1 after doubles concluded. Receiving wins from the pairs of Candice Laurent/Aurelie Gaborit (8-3) and Alicia Gallard/Aurore Beltrando (8-3).

The Lady Hawks earned the win by taking five of the six singles matches. Laurent, Gaborit, and Sicquena Sinclair each picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins over their opponents.

Shorter women's tennis will be back in action Saturday, April 20, as they travel to Valdosta, Ga. to play Palm Beach Atlantic. Matches begin at 10am.
