ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Lady Hawks dropped a road match at No. 4 Emory, 8-1. The Eagles are one of the top Division III programs, coming off of a 2012 season that saw the program finish third at the D-III championships.

Aurelie Gaborit picked up the lone match victory for the Lady Hawks (4-3), defeating Beatrice Rosen, 6-2, 6-1. Gaborit is 5-2 in singles competition this season, including winning her last three matches while holding her opponents to no more than two games won in any set during the streak.

Candice Laurent paired up with Gaborit in No. 1 doubles to start the day, suffering the 8-5 defeat to Annette Sullivan and Gabrielle Clark, ending a two-match winning streak for the Lady Hawks top duo.

The Lady Hawks will compete next in March, when they go on a Gulf South Conference road trip to Christian Brothers and Delta State on March 1 and 2.
