Waleska, Ga.—Women's Lacrosse remains undefeated in National Women's Lacrosse League play with a 15-8 victory over Reinhardt Wednesday evening.
The win improves the Lady Hawks to 9-3 on the season and 5-0 in the NWLL.
Reinhardt tallied three goals during the first half, with two from Brooke Haley. For the Lady Hawks, in addition to three goals from Pranciliauskaite and one from Armstrong, Mia Wiggins and Bianca Rojas each found the back of the net. Shorter led 6-3 at the intermission.
Reinhardt picked up the pace in the second half, scoring five times, with three from Nicki Caputo and two from Sarah Hewett. But, it wasn't enough as the Lady Hawks added nine more tallies. Armstrong and Pranciliauskaite added three and two, respectively; while Shelby Beverly and Devin Spero had one goal each and Rachel Skinner added two.
Taylor Moody played the entire game in goal for Shorter; recording eight saves on sixteen shots faced.
The Lady Hawks outshot Reinhardt 29-18, and recovered 21 of 34 groundballs.
Shorter returns to action on April 2, as they travel to Emmanuel for a conference match-up scheduled to begin at 5pm.
