BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – With the conclusion of the Rocky Mountain Invite, the Shorter women's golf team ended competition in 11th place with a total score of 663 (333-330).
Isabella Baldacci had the best tournament for the Lady Hawks with a team leading 17th place finish score of 156 (79-77). Pauline Schopp was 43rd with a score of 165 (82-83), Maria Bengtsson (87-84) and Claudia Orrantia (85-86) came in 55th place with a total of 171.
Alyson Hicks competed individually and came home with a 74th place finish of 183 (89-94).
Newberry College was crowned tournament champions with a final total of 606 (304-302) to beat California University (Pa.) by two strokes.
The individual champion came from the fourth place finishing Columbus State, with Kimesha Anthony totaling 144 (68-76) for a two-stroke victory.
