ROME -- The Lady Hawks are coming off of a thrilling victory over Clark Atlanta, now are prepared to welcome the first Gulf South Conference opponent to the Winthrop-King Centre in West Alabama.

Shorter (1-1) took the lead for good when Maggie Peeples hit a late 3-pointer, and Kristin Nash sealed the game with a pair of free throws in the 64-61 win over CAU.

West Alabama (4-2) picked up the 59-54 win over Miles on Tuesday. The game saw Ana Dill hit a trio of 3-pointers early in the second half, while reigning GSC player of the week Brittany Weathers scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Weathers leads the GSC in scoring with 23.4 points per game, including scoring a career high 36 versus Lincoln Memorial.

Karisma Boykin leads the Lady Hawks with 15 points per game, followed by Nash at 13.5, and Lynette Harris at 11.5.

Shelby Farrer is leading the team with 10 rebounds per game, with Harris gabbing another 6.5. Each player is also responsible for a block per game apiece.

Boykin is dishing out 3.5 assists per game; with Nash, Peeples, and Ieshia Alexander each recording 3 assists per game.
