Emory edges past Men's Tennis, 5-4

ROME, Ga.--Emory just edged past men's tennis, 5-4, from the Walt Attaway Complex Tuesday afternoon.

The loss drops the Hawks to 8-10 on the season.

The Eagles led 2-1 after doubles, and only needed to take three of the six singles matches to secure the win. Shorter's pair of Romain Lefevre/Romain Ferreira defeated Elliot Kahler/Nicholas Szczurek 8-3 to take the only doubles match for the Hawks.

In singles, Shorter earned wins at No. 1, 2 and 3. Lefevre defeated Alex Ruderman 6-0, 6-1. Ferreria took the match with Rafe Mosetick 6-1, 7-6. And, Nikola Pavlovic defeated Kahler 6-0, 6-0 to round out the wins for the Hawks.

Men's tennis will be back in action Saturday, April 20, as they travel to Valdosta, Ga. to take on Palm Beach Atlantic. Matches are set to begin at 10am.
