DAHLONEGA, Ga. -– The Hawks lost their first match of the 2013 season at No. 23 North Georgia, 5-4.

The duo of Romain Ferreira and Romain Lefevre were able to pick the Hawks only victory during doubles competition, 8-6, as the No. 1 team continues the hot start to the season by winning all three of their matches.

The Hawks would pick up a trio of singles victories. Ferreira would win at No. 2 versus Matheus Guida, 6-3, 6-4. Also picking up victories for Shorter was Nikola Pavlovic at No. 4 and Arturo Lifshitz at No. 5.

The match would not be decided until the third set at No. 6, where Matheus Pineda would rally the claim the final set from Colt Kelley, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.

The Hawks return to action on February 8 and 9 on the road, first stopping at Columbus State and them finishing up the road trip at Tuskegee.
