MEMPHIS, Tenn. – An early goal marked all the scoring in the game, as the Hawks lost to Christian Brothers 1-0. Despite yielding the one goal Ryan Edwards recorded nine saves, good enough for the fifth best single game effort in school history and giving him 93 for his Shorter career.

CBU was able to score five minutes into the game as Yannick Skull was able to head in a free kick for the only goal of the game. The Buccaneers outshot the Hawks on the day by a 24-6 margin, keeping Edwards and the Hawks' defense busy for the match.

Shorter only managed to have two shots on goal, one each from Diego Gonzalez and Robert Ochieng. Ryan Mcgouirk was also aggressive as he added two shots, one wide left and the other wide to the right.

The Hawks are 1-4-1 overall and 0-2 in the Gulf South Conference for the season, continuing on the road as they travel to Alabama-Huntsville for a 4:30 pm kick off on Thursday, September 20 versus the Chargers.
