ROME, Ga.--Men's Golf finished tied for fourth place with cross-town rival Berry College at the Rome News Tribune Invitational hosted at Stonebridge Golf Course April 15-16.
A difference of 23 strokes separated the top four finishers. The University of the Cumberlands took the top spot with a two day total of 578. Shorter and Berry both finished with a 601 to tie for fourth place.
Patric Sundlof had the best finish by a Hawk. Tying with Berry's Tommy McCloskey in fifth place with a two day total of 145. Sundlof scores were 72-73, while McCloskey shot a 70 in round two to earn the tie with Sundlof after shooting a 75 the day before.
Juan Giraldo, who had the next best individual finish by Shorter, finished tied for 14th, with a 148 (72-76).
The Hawks will be back in action, April 21, as they travel to Tunica, Miss. to compete in the Gulf South Conference Championship.
