This match served as a tune up for the NCCAA Championships to be held next week in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The championship events begin on Sunday, October 21 with practice rounds and the Tee-Off Banquet sponsored by the Panama City CVB & Sports Commission. Competition begins on Monday, October 22 at The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla., with the 36-hole Women's Invitational concluding on Tuesday and the Men's Championship concluding on Wednesday.
This will be the fifth consecutive year that the NCCAA events have been conducted at The Hombre Golf Club and the eighth since 2004. Each fall the course is the home of the PGA Tour Qualifying School that has seen Gary Nicklaus, Mike Weir, Michael Campbell, Frank Lickliter, and Scott McCarron come through on their way to play on the PGA Tour. Once again, the NCCAA will partner with the Panama City Men's Rescue Mission & Bethel Village for Women to provide a Christian Service Project. Mission residents will be invited to attend the Tee-Off banquet and sit with a team that will become their adopted favorite for the week.
