DESTIN, Fla. – Shorter University shot a team total of 306 on Monday to sit in seventh place after 18 holes at the Indian Bayou Classic hosted by the University of North Alabama at the Indian Bayou Country Club in Destin, Fla.

Gabriel Cassinelli and Robert Prior are Shorter's highest ranked competitors after one round after shooting identical opening rounds of 4-over 76. Cassinelli and Prior are tied for 28th.

Matt Youmans and Oliver Larsson each turned in a 77 on Monday and Patric Sundlof shot 80. Youmans and Larsson are tied for 39th and Sundlof is in 60th entering Tuesday's final round.

North Alabama leads the tournament after shooting 293 as a team. Saint Leo University is four shots back and the University of Montevallo (302) is in third place after one round.

Saint Leo's Nick Brothers shot 3-under 69 and is in the lead by three strokes over North Alabama's Jake Greer, Harding University's Brandon Clark and Columbus State University's Justin Grice – each shot even par 72.
