GAME NOTES

ROME -- Coming off of a season that saw the Shorter men's basketball program reach the NAIA Fab Four and win a school record 34 games, the Hawks take to their home court for the first time tonight for the 2012-13 season.

The Hawks ran off a perfect 15-0 record at home last year, and will look to start a new streak this season versus Knoxville College.

Shorter (0-1) tipped off its season last week on the road at No. 14 Saint Leo, coming out on the wrong side of a 75-60 decision. Senior C.J. Davis recorded a game high 25 points against the Lions while Dedric Ware added 13 points and seven rebounds. 2011-12 NAIA All-America forward Anthony Banks finished with nine points and seven boards after spending much of the first half plauged with foul trouble.

Knoxville opened its season on October 30 at the University of Pikeville, losing 108-72. Wade Jennings led Knoxville with 21 points, while Tevon Tuggle recorded 10 rebounds in the game.

Tip-off tonight is scheduled for 7 pm at the Winthrop-King Centre. Fans unable to make the game can follow the live stats by clicking on this link. Fans can also catch all the live action by tuning into 95.7 WATG-FM The Ridge or by accessing the audio link located on the men's basketball schedule.
