CARROLTON, Ga. -- The Shorter Hawks head to Carrollton for a Gulf South Conference match-up versus in state rival West Georgia, with tip off set for Sunday, December 2, at 5 pm.
Shorter (5-1, 1-0 GSC) beat West Alabama in the Winthrop-King Centre on Thursday 100-83 to claim the first GSC win for the team.
Davis and Banks are tied for the team lead in scoring at 15.5 points per game, with Banks atop the list with 8.0 rebounds per game.
Dedric Ware (4.8) and Leverette (4.2) are both over four assists per game, with the Hawks averaging 21.5 per game as a team.
Shorter has eclipsed 100 points in three consecutive wins, on the way to averaging 94.5 points – while holding the opponents to 69.3 points per game.
West Georgia (2-3, 0-1 GSC) is led by Quincy Hill, who is scoring 14.2 points a game, and Sean Boston, who is pulling in 6.8 rebounds per game. Thomas Higginbotham, the reigning GSC Freshman of the Year, is leading the team with 4.0 assists per game.
