ROME -- Shorter will take the court one more time before the Thanksgiving Holiday as they look to protect their home court against Reinhardt University (1-3).
The Hawks (2-1) are coming off of a 98-87 victory at Young Harris on Saturday, a game that saw C.J. Davis lead the scoring with 24 points.
Reinhardt's only win on the season came against Bob Jones University in a 78-61 victory. The Eagles come to Shorter off of an 87-84 loss at Southern Polytechnic University on November 13. Quinton Wood led all scorers that game with 26 points with Xavier Mayfield adding 18 points in the contest.
Wood comes into the game as the leading scorer for the Eagles, putting up 21.2 points per game. Both Wood and William Reid have been dangerous behind the arc, making 13 and 11 3-point shots respectively. Perie Finley averages 6.6 rebounds per game to lead the team and Matt Porter is providing 6.4 boards a game also. Porter also leads the team with 14 blocked shots on the season.
Shorter is averaging 83.3 points per game to start this season, while shooting 47.6% from the field and 34.8% from three point range.
Davis leads the Hawks at 20.3 points per game; with Anthony Banks adding 16 each time out, while leading the team with 9.3 rebounds per game.
Shorter and Reinhardt faced off last season as the Hawks squeaked out a 63-61 win.
