ROME—The Hawks and Lady Hawks were well represented on the Gulf South Conference’s Spring Academic Honor Roll; placing 60 student-athletes to the list.
Shorter had the most students make the list of any school in the conference; West Florida was second with 40.
To be eligible for the GSC Academic Honor Roll honors, a student-athlete must have played during the Spring Sport Season and have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
During the 2012-13 year, the Hawks and Lady Hawks have had a combined total of 143 student-athletes placed on their respective Honor Rolls.
For the spring, softball saw the most students honored with 17, followed by baseball which placed 15 to the list. Tennis was represented by a total of 17 student-athletes, 9 men and 8 women. Women’s golf tallied 6, while men’s golf had 5.
